Society invite friends and neighbors to a special event in celebration of May Day. The event is planned for Sunday, May 4, 3-5 pm, at Webster Park, at 1528 Webster Road in Webster. This free, public event will include live music, food trucks with sweet and savory options available for purchase, yard games, traditional crafts, as well as a maypole dance, which has been a long-celebrated tradition here in Webster. Materials will be provided to make your own flower crown. An all-abilities playground is located within the event venue. There are some bleachers on site for seating but the public is welcome to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket. This will be a free, family-friendly event open to the public with live music, complimentary cake & cupcakes, lawn games, food trucks on site with items available for purchase, and crafts. In addition, we are reviving a long-time tradition here in Webster: the maypole. We’ll be guided in a couple traditional May Day dances to cap off the festivities.
